A single-use alternative to conventional stirred tank mixers.

The HyClone S.U.M. is based on the same stirred tank mixing principle as the HyClone Single-Use Bioreactor (S.U.B.).

This allows powerful and efficient mixing in a closed system provided by a sterile S.U.M. BioProcess Container™ (BPC®). A bottom drain port allows maximum recovery of BPC contents.

The S.U.M. is offered as a complete system with an outer support container providing a mixer motor, variable speed mixer control, hanger for a HyClone Powdertainer™ and a mobile skid.

Examples of suitable applications include:

Rehydration of powdered media and buffers

Preparation of solutions from liquid concentrates

Pooling and mixing of chromatography fractions

Preparation or resuspension of particulate suspensions

All contact parts are sterile, single-use, Class VI tested and arrive ready for use

No cleaning or sterilization required

Simplifies validation processes

Available systems cover working volumes from 100–1000 L
