In the biopharmaceutical industry, white papers, standards, and regulatory documents are often published in draft form to elicit comments from industry over a designed review period. Occasionally, BioProcess International is given an opportunity to widen that forum by re- or copublishing one of these documents. In this case, because a large number of our readers are concerned with bioassay development and methods, we felt that it was important to invite them into this discussion.
